Organist’s space: events, organ travels and player stories

Organ Fest, Birmingham 18 to 20 Sept 2015

Organ Fest 2015

This year’s #OrganFest15 promises to be a jam packed festival for the organ enthusiast. The festival is organised jointly by the British Institute of Organ Studies; the Incorporated Association of Organists (IAO); the Royal College of Organists (RCO); and the Birmingham Organists Association. They have planned a varied programme over three days, with choral music performed in the liturgy and in concert, and organ music from Bruhns to Irving Berlin.

Below is the outline for the event as reflected on the Organ Fest website (please see their website for up to date information or changes):

I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
