Cantorum Duo: Peripherals Update Request. (1 reply)
This can happen when the Cantorum is switched on with a slow USB pen inserted; it is a software bug that has been fixed with an update. You can download the updated firmware here:

Back to Viscount Organs Forum...
Hello everyone,
Yesterday, when switching on my instrument, the following appeared on the video screen: "peripherals update request," with the instruction: "[enter] to proceed." I did so and after a few seconds the original message returned. After several attempts with same result, I gave up. Meanwhile, I cannot start the organ.
I emailed Viscount about this and received a reply that suggested "flat cable to the great keyboard has disconnected" and that "you or a technical person will have to open up the instrument and check this." Does anyone know what is involved in doing this? Since I live in a rather remote area of Northern New Mexico, it's almost certain I'l have to do this myself. I'd be most grateful for any suggestions from all of you.
