Configuring User styles (1 reply)
Peter thanks for sharing all that information. Its a shame we all now have so much time to explore all our instrument features but at least with Physis you are unlikley to run out of options to explore. Regards David
Back to Viscount Organs Forum...
I've had my beloved Envoy 350-FV for a few years now, and I've very much enjoyed experimenting with the voice library in setting up User Styles 1-4. I moved house a year back, and I was struck by how different my new music room made the organ sound - the old one was completely book-lined, the new one has a single bookcase - I virtually had to start from scratch to configure it back to a sound I liked.
Given that many of us will be spending more time at home due to Coronavirus restrictions, I thought it might be helpful to post my current Style settings to perhaps encourage those who haven't ventured there yet to give it a go, or to compare thoughts with those who have.
My four User Styles are 1) English, 2) Baroque 1 (started a couple of days ago, with something of a Dutch slant), 3) Baroque 2 (more Germanic perhaps), and 4) Romantic French. It's very much a continuing process of refining these settings, but very rewarding.
I've got additional external speakers and a sub, but I think the attached settings work well with just the internal speakers with the internal amp equaliser set appropriately for the room.
Feedback would be welcome!
Best wishes and stay safe, Peter
