Pedalboard lowest 8 notes dead (1 reply and 1 comment)
I own an older organ, a Viscount Prestige I which I use for practice at home. Today I disconnected the pedalboard to be able to clean the floor. While at it I opened the front end of the pedalboard to adjust one rubber contact which wasn't pressing down properly. Once I had closed the pedalboard and connected it to the organ i noticed that all 8 lowest pedals are dead. Not some random contact problem. Obviously I have done something. Any ideas?
HI Lars, One of the conductors in the ribbon cable will have fractured. You will need a new cable. Regards David
Hi David. Thanks for answering! You are probably right. That ribbon cable was stirred a little when I opened the casing. I will check with the factory. Best Regards Lars
