Schematic for G404 (2 replies and 2 comments)
Hi,
Assuming you are in the UK you can send the board to us for a factory repair. Regards David
I am in the USA but willing to send you the board if need be. I am a tech myself, but mostly familiar with Allen organs from the 1960's through the 1990's. Not qualified to repair a surface mount board like in this G404. Do you have a PDF service manual that I can purchase? I should check power supplies and such before ruling them out.
Update: Robert Darnall of the USA service department has sent me a complete schematic for the organ, and I will do some more troubleshooting (power supplies and simple stuff) to see if I can restore it. If not, I'll see about sending the board to you. Thanks for your reply. Have a great weekend!
The Main Board from the G404 has been sent to Robert Darnall for possible repair. Perhaps before long now I'll have it working and be able to try it out. Have not heard one of these. I did however own a G401 for a while a few years back and I enjoyed that little organ immensely. Hoping that this one is even better, and of course it has more stops and vastly more features.

Just received a lovely G404 aka Prestige II, built in 2000. Was reportedly damaged by power surge. It powers up, MIDI OUT works to key an external module, but the internal voices are useless. Mostly sound like massive white noise and trash, though the actual pitches and tone colors are present at a low level. Audio system works, as it nicely plays the output of my Ahlborn MIDI box.
Would anyone have a schematic or any word on getting the main generator board repaired or replaced?
