VISCOUNT RD70 midi file player AC adapter (2 replies)
Hi, please can anyone advise the type of AC adapter used on the VISCOUNT RD70 midi file player? ie voltage, polarity and plug size? Thank you
From the images I can see on the web, this looks like it requires a 10.5v AC supply - an unusual find these days as most units now use a DC supply.
Viscount's technical dept might be able to advise on alternatives. The closest I could find was this.
It's more expensive than many supplies as it requires a transformer. Good news is that it's returnable.
Depending on the internal circutry, it might or might not be able to handle the extra voltage.
Thank you. The Viscount people replied to a separate email. You're right - it has a very specific power supply 10Vac @2a. As it is AC there is no polarity. Not the easiest to find but you can use a LINE 6 PX-2UK on ebay like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160795034707?hash=item2570218453:g:-ocAAOxyqOxRugkp
