Our Lady’s Catholic Church Marnhull April 2019

Marnhull is a beautiful little church in the heart of rural Dorset.  They contacted us because they needed to replace their old Viscount organ of about 35 years old. Although still working, they wanted something with a larger pedal board, better amplification and sound quality.

The organ needed to go on a balcony which would need to be lifted over by a mechanical lift and so it was decided that our Cadet 31 (S) with a 27-note pedal board would be the perfect solution. A compact organ with great sound and all the controls required.

From a personal point of view, it was one of those ‘it’s a small world’ moments as after speaking to the Priest on my site visit, it transpired that he used to be the Parish Priest of the church I play at regularly and he knew my wife, and father-in-law very well. None of this I knew beforehand.

The organ was duly installed and has really helped to aid the musical liturgy of the church.

Mass on Sunday was definitely up several Musical notches.
