Meet the Owner
Owner Viscount Classical Organs
David is the owner of Viscount Classical Organs (UK) Ltd. He has loved and played church organs since he was 12 years old. His grandfather was an FRCO so the love of the instrument runs deep in the genes.
Since 1990 David has had home practice instruments: first an Allen and now of course a Viscount digital organ. He also has a 2 manual Hill pipe organ set-up in his converted barn which acts as a home recital venue. His organ tutelage level sits at Grade VII but time permitting, he’d like to one day progress to Grade VIII.
David runs Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate, and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
Meet the Viscount Team
Chris is our numbers man and a qualified accountant. Chris is passionate about wildlife and flora conservation, particularly orchids, and has a number in his office. His other hobby is writing and is a published author
Annette joined Viscount in 2014 as Accounts Administrator. Often, she will be the friendly voice greeting you on the end of the phone. Annette is passionate about treating our customers the right way and uses her 5 years (prior to Viscount) in customer care to great effect. Outside of the office, Annette loves motorbikes, in particular her 25-year old Yamaha Diversion 600. At weekends she can be found helping her husband with his bouncy castle business.
General Sales Manager
Richard Joined Viscount in 2018 as General Sales Manager, having previously been Sales and Product Manager for Rodgers classical organs and an Area Manager for Roland musical instruments before. Prior to that, Richard spent 16 years in music retail.
He is organist at his local Catholic church and is a regular accompanist for local choirs. At weekends Richard loves to spend time with his family and Collie/Springer cross, Wilf.
Richard is based part-time in our Bicester head office, also being a freelance organist in the Oxford area. He comes to Viscount with many years’ experience in the digital organ industry having worked previously for the Royal School of Church Music in its Addington days. Richard has been organist and choir director at St. Margaret’s Church, Oxford for the past fifteen years. In his spare time he sings in several local chamber choirs and is currently undertaking research into trends in contemporary British choral music.
Service and Logistics Manager
Peter has been with Viscount since 2006 and oversees service, logistics and installations. Peter brings a lifetime of experience in electronics as prior to joining Viscount he was a troubleshooting engineer for Dixons and, before that, a service manager for Rumbelows in charge of a team of 26.Peter supports his local team of Kidlington FC and, in his spare time, indulges in the game of ‘Aunt Sally’. Peter reliably informs us that this is a local pub game related to skittles.
Hugh Joined Viscount in 2018 having been in the paint industry for three years before. Hugh assists Peter with servicing, logistics, warehousing and installations. He has a keen interest in Roman and Greek history and plays competitive 6-a-side football at weekends.
