We are pleased to offer you a selection of our instruments for hire. This can be for a single day event (like the one we provided to James Thomas, the director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral) or for a prolonged period when a pipe organ is undergoing repair (as for Selby Abbey’s pipe restoration).
We understand that each instance will require its own unique set of parameters, so we’d welcome a personalised conversation to tailor our quote for you.
The cost of hiring an organ will very much depend on these factors:
- The location of the venue
- The difficulty of access to the venue
- The length of the hire
- Whether or not speakers or amplifiers will be required
- If any special equipment is need for example scaffold towers for speaker placement
As a broad guide on the rental costs alone – you should budget for £85 per week for smaller instruments and up to £150 per week for larger instruments, with a minimum charge of 7 days hire period even if the instrument is required for a shorter period.
The delivery, set up and collection costs will vary according to location (and of course the complexity of installation). If you budget on £450 for delivery and £350 for collection you will not be too far out.
You need to add vat to the above costs.
Please do feel free to contact David Mason at our Bicester showroom who would be happy to discuss your needs. We have been known to supply organs for emergencies and on short notice as we did recently for Worcester Cathedral, so please do get in touch.
