St Clement’s Church Hastings Old Town March 2013
St Clement’s Church underwent a substantial restoration programme and was closed for nearly a year before reopening again. The church has a marvellous blend of contemporary new features which have been fitted with great care into the historic fabric of the building. Congratulations all round to all involved.
We of course were delighted that the new organ, installed as part of this large refurbishment, was a Viscount Regent 356 in light oak finish. This organ is based on our very latest ‘Physis’ physical modelling sound generation platform.
You can see how well the new instrument sits in the environment of both old pews and new seating. The digital organ plays over 12 speakers discretely located at wall plate level.
