Kirkham Methodist Church February 2019
The heat of the 2018 summer had taken its toll on an already ailing pipe organ in Kirkham Methodist Church Lancashire. Ciphers and runnings on the sound boards accompanied by various intermittent faults.
The organist decided it was time for a change and set about investigating a digital option. After playing a Viscount Chorum 40 organ and a visit to Aldersgate Methodist church in Bradford where they heard a Chorum 50 it was decided that the Chorum 40 was the right instrument.
For now the organ is only on internal speakers but an estimate is in preperation for the addition of speakers once the pipe organ has been removed. View the organ installation on Anthony Bogdan Organs website.
