St Mary’s Portsea September 2020
St Mary’s fine Walker pipe organ is about to begin a major refurbishment by Nicholson & Co. During the period it is out of use the church is using a Regent Classic instrument that plays through 12 external speaker cabinets and a sub bass. We worked on this project with Mark Gatrell of South Coast Organs. A detailed account of the work involved can be found on his blog on THIS LINK.
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
