St Oswald’s Guiseley October 2017
St Oswald’s have a fine Harrison pipe organ dating from 1908 but this is now very unreliable and requires a huge sum to restore it to reliable playing condition. The Envoy has been installed as a temporary option while fundraising gets underway. All the speakers sit within the organ pipe chambers and on top of swell and choir boxes. The space available is very generous and no pipe work was disturbed during the installation. For a more detailed look at this particular installation see the blog HERE. Thanks to organist Martin Baker for providing the audio file of the improvisation played very shortly after the installation. We will return in a few months time to carry our a second voicing visit to take account of the experiences Martin has gained in the first few months of use.
