St Peter Titchfield March 2026
St Peter’s had a small, old, freestanding pipe organ located in the South Chapel next to the magnificent historic Wriothesley memorials. Not only was its speech into the church poor from this position, but the church’s Patron, Lord Montague of Beaulieu, viewed the instrument as being incongruous in that position.
St Peter’s PCC therefore invested in an Envoy 35-F, with 8 speakers located high in the south west corner to spread sound evenly through the church, with a bass beneath, thereby allowing for removal of the pipe organ.
