Prestige II Pedal Board (1 reply and 1 comment)
8 missing adjacent note results from a broken wire in the ribbon cable. A single missing note is a problem with the contact on the pcb for that single note. All parts are available.
Thanks David,
I did notice the "rubber" part of the contact was a bit detached. I'll see if messing with that fixes it.
I would assume that it is more likely that the ribbon cable from the console is the culprit, rather than the cable inside the pedal board, as that is pretty well contained?
Thank you for your response! Where would I be able to purchase those parts?
Back to Viscount Organs Forum...
Good morning,
I recently acquired a Prestige II in decent condition. Sounds great, plays great.
However, the top 8 notes of the pedalboard (C-G) do not sound. I pulled the cover to try and troubleshoot, and made a determination that it is most likely the second circuit board within the pedal, or the ribbon cable.
After reconnecting everything, now middle E refuses to sound as well. (Last note on the first circuit board)
Now I'm concerned I have two failing boards.
#1 - Is there anything else I can troubleshoot to isolate the problem?
#2 - Are these boards available for purchase along with the ribbon cable? 39-02 ICIS is printed on the board.
Thank you very much!
