Meet the Owner
David Mason
Owner Viscount Classical Organs
David is the owner of Viscount Classical Organs (UK) Ltd. He has loved and played church organs since he was 12 years old. His grandfather was an FRCO, so the love of the instrument runs deep in the genes.
Since 1990 David has had home practice instruments: first an Allen, and now of course a Viscount digital organ. He also has a 2 manual Hill pipe organ set-up in his converted barn which also acts as a home recital venue. His organ tutelage level sits at Grade VII, but time permitting, he’d like to one day progress to Grade VIII.
David runs Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate, and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.

Meet the Viscount Team
Richard PattGeneral Sales Manager Richard joined Viscount in 2018 as General Sales Manager, having previously been Sales and Product Manager for Rodgers Classic Organs and an Area Manager for Roland musical instruments before. Prior to that, Richard spent 16 years in music retail. He is organist at his local Catholic church and is a regular accompanist for local choirs. At weekends, Richard loves to spend time with his family and Collie/Springer cross, Wilf.
Richard GoodallOrgan Consultant Richard is based in our Bicester head office, coming to Viscount with many years’ experience in the digital organ industry. Prior to this, many church musicians knew him as a member of the publications department at the Royal School of Church Music, in its Addington Palace days. Richard has been organist and choir director at St Margaret’s Church, Oxford for the past twenty-three years, and in his spare time sings in several local chamber choirs.
Peter PrestigeService and Logistics Manager Peter has been with Viscount since 2006 and oversees service, logistics, and installations. He brings a lifetime of experience in electronics – prior to joining Viscount he was a troubleshooting engineer for Dixons; and, before that, a service manager for Rumbelows, in charge of a team of 26. Peter supports his local team of Kidlington FC and, in his spare time, indulges in the game of ‘Aunt Sally’. Peter reliably informs us that this is a local pub game related to skittles.
Cassian SouthwickTechnical Engineer Cassian joined Viscount in 2024 having worked previously in the organ building industry at Harrison & Harrison. Here he works as designer, as well as managing and working on the custom consoles at Regent Classic Organs. He has had a keen interest in the organ from a young age, having had organ scholarships at St George’s Southwark and Hereford Cathedral, and continues to play as an adult. Additionally, Cassian is a semi-professional percussionist and tuba player.
