Jubileum 235 (1 reply and 1 comment)
Hi,
I realize this is an old thread now, but does it click when it starts to travel, or when it reaches it's resting position? Have you checked the spring and related parts?
Also, where did you find the schematic? I'm having issues with sound popping and breaking up on my Jubilate 230 but can't find a schematic anywhere.
Apologies for the delay in responding. Thank you for your suggestions. The problem as caused by a perished bulb on the rubber tracker octave strip, so I replaced the whole octave and eventually sorted out the problem.
The schematic was very kindly sent to me as a pdf by the extremely helpful Peter Prestidge from Viscount Organs who also sold me the Tracker Octave strips.
Back to Viscount Organs Forum...
I have 2 questions about the (excellent) Jubileum 235.
Firstly one of the notes on the lower manual gives a loud click when released (only if released quickly, not if released slowly, but happens frequently during playing and is quite distracting) The note sounds fine. I have changed one of the rubber keypads on a different octave of the lower manual in the past so am happy to tinker.
(I also live miles away from the nearest Viscount service agent.)
Secondly I sometimes use Hauptwerk with an input via the line-in to the internal amp. Is there some way to increase the volume of this as the output from this is much softer than the general sounds from the organ itself?
I do have a schematic for the instrument, but cannot find an obvious way of adjusting this.
I do not want to adjust the general amplifiers as this would make the internal sounds too loud.
Many thanks for your help.
regards
John
