Pedal harpsichord stop (5 replies)
Barry,
Your only option will be to use the midi of this older organ to drive an independent sound module. Looking at some internet chat here is a link to a harpsichord module that is well regarded. You will then need to take an audio feed from the sound module back into the organ.

The german website above charges for its samples. There are excellent free harpsichord samples available from Sony Musicae at http://duphly.free.fr/en/blanchet.html. I use these myself in my (also free) eplayOrgan. You will be able to drive eplayOrgan from your Viscount organ and also optionally feed the sound back into your organ.
I am currently working on the Goldberg Variations which are intended to be played on a two manual harpsichord. In order to get the maximum benefit from my work you will need eplayOrgan V3.3.0.0 which, as yet, is not on line. This version includes the Clavecin-Blanchet Harpsichord. I can send you an advance copy by email if it would help.

Latest situation is I've downloaded both GrandOrgue and Hauptwerk to my computer & they work ok.
My expert friend has managed to set them up to work with midi from the organ, but the notes stick on until the midi stops on the Viscount are reset. The Viscount works ok with an old synthesiser, so why not with the software?
Any ideas?

I have never heard organ playing in reality, only online. And I hope to correct it. I am dating a guy from Europe on one dating site. And in his town, there is a place where you can hear real organ music. I hope, next year we all will remain to our usual routine and I will be able to travel. Visiting this county will be one of many bonuses I am hoping to get during next year.

I've got a Viscount Jubilaeum 232 of 1992 vintage.
I would like to know if there is any way to add a module to it so that I can get a pedalharpsichord voice out of it.
I would love a pedalharpsichord, but acoustic ones are prohibitively expensive and dedicated digital ones non-existent.
