Phantom Notes UNICO CLV8 (1 reply and 7 comments)
Hi,
Are you able to provide us with some additional information that might help in resolving the problem?
- Can you provide the the serial number which should be found on a label under the keyboard shelf?
- Where is the organ?
- Where/Who did you purchase the instrument from?
- And finally have you done any software upgrades since you purchased the instrument?
Many Thanks,
David
Hello, If you upgrade your instrument to Version 1.13 of the software the problem you have reported will be resolved. Regards David
Thanks Dave. I have upgraded to 1.13 and the problem still exists.
The serial number is 00129656
The organ is in my home in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania. USA
I purchased the organ new from AES Organs (Al Sterner) who I have contacted several times but he is tied up with bigger projects and is slow in looking at this issue.
Curious about the Physis editor. Might it provide some hints as to my problem with phantom notes?
Hi I have just played our showroom instrument running on version 1.13.3 and there is no problem as you describe above. This tends to suggest to me that you may have a different fault associated with wiring. I have contacted the US main dealer to get the problem prioritized for you. Regards David
Thanks very much Dave. I might note that the upgrade I have installed is 1.13.01. It is the latest available from the Viscount website for my organ. If there is a newer one available, I would like to know how to obtain it.
1.13.01 is indeed the latest version of the software. Regards David
Update: Just last week, I obtained an update 1.13.3 from my dealer/technician. Installed the update and all is well. The Viscount website still has 1.13.01 as the current system version. Should that be changed in case others have this issue. It took months to resolve it.

I recently purchased a UNICO CLV8 for home use. After about one month I started experiencing unwanted notes when playing certain chords. For example: CEGA (any manual-any stop) would produce CEGG#A. It will occur on every other octave. Factory restore helps for a short time then the problem re-appears. Anyone else had this issue?
