Viscount Memory (3 replies)
Your post is headed "Viscount Memory" is this any indication of what an "edited specification" is? Please explain in detail exactly what it is you want to store. "edited specification" means absolutely nothing in the technical sense.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply and apologies for not being very clear in the technical sense, but I know very little about the technical terminology of digital organs.
The organ comes with 8 specifications, 4 of which can be modified, changed or edited by the user - sorry I don't know the correct technical term. When I have modified/edited/changed the 4 user styles, I was asking if there is any way I could save them via midi/usb so that I could recall more than the 4 user styles which the organ comes supplied with. I was also asking if there were any software updates for the organ because I thought that if there were, they may include more memory for additional user editable/modifiable/changeable specifications, hence the heading "Viscount Memory". Apologies once again and I hope that I have made it clearer now.
Unfortunately, the Vivace series does not allow the various settings to be saved on external media (pendrive, etc.).
It is possible to update the organ firmware via the MIDI connectors, but you must contact Viscount to obtain any update files (if they are available).

I have a Viscount Vivace 90 with which I have been entirely happy with for the last 15 years, and I would like to know if it is possible to store edited specifications via USB/Midi, and if so what sort of programme would I need to store them? Also does anyone know whether there are any software updates available for the instrument?
