VISCOUNT RD70 midi file player AC adapter (3 replies)
Hi,
From the images I can see on the web, this looks like it requires a 10.5v AC supply - an unusual find these days as most units now use a DC supply.
Viscount's technical dept might be able to advise on alternatives. The closest I could find was this.
It's more expensive than many supplies as it requires a transformer. Good news is that it's returnable.
Depending on the internal circutry, it might or might not be able to handle the extra voltage.

Thank you. The Viscount people replied to a separate email. You're right - it has a very specific power supply 10Vac @2a. As it is AC there is no polarity. Not the easiest to find but you can use a LINE 6 PX-2UK on ebay like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160795034707?hash=item2570218453:g:-ocAAOxyqOxRugkp
Did anyone manage to find a useable power supply for the RD-70 midi data filer? Thanks guys.
