Many of you will have seen the 12 extensive videos that we have published setting out how to get the best from your Viscount ‘Physis’ organ. These are our Envoy, Regent and Sonus ranges.
Some of you may well be pleased to know that the Viscount Chorum Organ Range based on the traditional ‘sampled sound’ voice generation platform is a far easier instrument to manage with much more basic voicing controls.
However, there are still many features that are not immediately obvious to the player so we have produced 2 video’s to help you find your way round the features that sit behind the control panel that is on every Chorum organ console.
We hope those of you that are put off by ‘too many features’ and just want a home organ that switches on and plays will be encouraged by the brevity of information needed to enjoy their Chorum organ to the full.
Viscount Chorum – Styles and Sound Settings
The first video introduces how you can tailor the sound and voicing of your Viscount Chorum Organ. It discusses the different various styles and sound settings that are available so you can make the organ sound just like you want and prefer.
Viscount Chorum – Setup Options and MIDI
The second video goes into a bit more depth about different setup and configuration options as well as explaining the MIDI interface.
The instrument played in the videos above is the 2 manual Chorum 40. On the product page you’ll find all the details about the instrument and also a video of “Non komm der Heiden Heiland” by J.S. Bach.
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
