Introducing our new 3D showcase of the Viscount showroom in Bicester. This is more than a 3D model. It’s all-in-one visualisation of our showroom, right in your web browser or virtual reality headset. Explore the 3D space below which includes information about our organs, videos and links to relevant pages on our website for more details. We hope you will find our ‘Virtual Showroom’ an informative and fun experience.
I wonder if the next generation will regard the early part of the 21st century as a technical revolution in the same way as we refer to the industrial revolution of the mid nineteenth century? I think there is every justification. Who would have thought that you could shout at an inert speaker in your living room and ask it who won the FA cup in 1988 and get the instant answer? We are truly moving at high speed into a very different world from the one into which I was born.
These are exciting times and it is a pleasure to be able to use these technological advances to make our customers use of our web site more informative, enjoyable and even fun. We have just invested in some exciting new technology ourselves which has allowed us to present many of our instruments to you in the showroom setting with links where available to our video demonstrations.
The 3D Virtual Showroom
We recommend that you explore the space below in full screen mode (icon on bottom right) for the best experience.
If you live far away then the time and expense of visiting Bicester may be considerable and hard to justify. This new presentation will in part compensate if you are unable to get here yourself to see and play the 15 or so organs always set up for your enjoyment.
We are of course represented around the UK by local partner dealers but it can be difficult for them to allocate space to the full range of Viscount organs.
So far the application of the technology has been in light-hearted manner. Soon enough though we will explain how this technology will be applied to improve our church and concert hall customer service. We will also show you some further technical steps we have taken to gather information to bring the ‘appliance of science’ to the benefit of our wider customer base.
If you have been inspired by the above and like to visit our showroom and try the instruments for yourself then please get in contact with us.
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
