Organists of all ages and levels – consider joining the RCO Academy in St Andrews, Scotland on Spring Bank Holiday Monday (30 May 2016) for an inspiring day promoted by RCO Academy in partnership with the University of St Andrews.
This is a great ‘hands-on’ one day-programme (09:30 to 17:30) with tuition in small, informal graded classes. This is ideal too for pianists who would like to try the organ. The RCO encourage you to bring along any music that you are studying at the moment.
There is a featured Lunchtime celebratory organ recital by Henry Fairs in St Salvator’s Chapel, University of St Andrews, at 13:00 that you will not want to miss. (Pictured below)
And by the end of the programme – you will be a part of a recital done by the students for the day in St Salvator’s Chapel at 16:30.
To book or find out more – please visit the RCO Website event page for this programme. Or if you have any enquiries pleased contact James Parsons on james.parsons@roc.org.uk
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
