(*Note! Picture of Sonus 60 Organ above is a NOT the actual used instrument described below but shown for reference.)
Back in spring 2017 a customer based in Guernsey purchased a Viscount Sonus 60 Organ for home practice. It required a personal delivery service as the instrument was to go into an upstairs room. So the ‘A’ team was flown out from the UK to meet the instrument that had been export packed and sent by haulier to the home on Guernsey.
A few hours later after some major surgery to the customers banisters the instrument arrived in its new resting place. Sadly as is all too common the musician has now died and his widow has asked us to help find a new home for the instrument.
The cost of returning the instrument to the UK mainland is high so we are reaching out to Channel Islanders to see if we can find a new owner and avoid the cost of shipping back to the UK. We can again send out the ‘A’ team to get the instrument back to the ground floor. Not sure how well the stairs will cope with a second attack on the banisters but that is a separate issue.
If you know of anyone who might need a very good 3 manual practice instrument at a really modest price then please do contact us at enquiries@viscountorgans.net
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
