David J. W. Murray is giving an organ recital on our custom built 3 manual Regent installed in 2014 by Soundtech Classical Organs of Irvine in Lyle Kirk.
David is the Director of Music at Oakshaw Trinity Church, Paisley. Despite living in Glasgow, David is no stranger to Inverclyde and Lyle Kirk in particular. He is well known as an organist, pianist, accompanist and teacher throughout the west of Scotland, regularly performing at Kelvingrove Art Galleries during the autumn and winter season.
As on previous occasions, David’s programme will consist of traditional organ repertoire with some quirky pieces included.

Viscount Regent Classic at Lyle Kirk
The Regent Classic custom built Instrument has been installed in the pipe organ case which required removal of the pipe organ keyboards. Otherwise the instrument remains intact and we hope in years to come the church may find the energy and money to see the instrument restored. Meanwhile a very fine player who was struggling against overwhelming problems with the pipe organ can once again contribute properly to the worship and musical life of the church.
Please do go and support David. You will be delighted by his playing and our instrument will do a very good job as well!
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
