We are passionate about organs and organ music and spend a good majority of our time supporting local, national and international organ events (both pipe and digital). As part of our ongoing drive for amazing music in the organ world, we are pleased to announce that we are offering a year’s free membership of the Royal College of Organists to all new home customers who purchase a brand new practice instrument. (This excludes instruments from the Cantorum range).
The initiative means that anyone buying a new Viscount organ for home practice will receive a year’s free membership of the RCO (worth £120).
A bit about the RCO:
The Royal College of Organists is a charity and membership organisation dedicated to the promotion and advancement of organ playing and choral directing. The College has members based in 40 countries around the world. They also have an Academy programme through which they provide ongoing training and support for organists and choral directors of all ages and levels of attainment, be they students, amateur musicians or experienced professionals, working in church, concert hall, college, or classroom.
Why I chose to offer this membership to my customers..
As an enthusiastic village organist of many years I was personally delighted to find I could join the RCO – an organisation I had previously assumed was open only by invitation or professional qualification. The RCO is an organisation I very much admire and want to support, so I am extremely pleased to extend this same opportunity to new Viscount home customers. By giving organists the chance to be a part of the College, I hope they will be as impressed as I have with its work for musicians of all ages and levels of abilities.
I worked with RCO chief executive Philip Meaden to bring this offer to my customers and he has said: “We very much welcome this offer from Viscount Classical Organists, and look forward to welcoming many new members as a result. This is an exciting time for the College, with a raft of new membership benefits and services due to be launched over the next 12 months. We hope that everyone who joins as a Viscount customer will enjoy those benefits and of course want to stay with us for many years thereafter.”

I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
