Many importers were rightly worried that Brexit would seriously disrupt goods flow from Europe into the UK and we were among those concerned. We took steps to ensure the warehouse was full pre-Christmas and achieved that rather well. But not as well as we did earlier this week!
This is our second post Brexit delivery (read about the first post Brexit organ delivery) from Italy. It actually caught us out, as it was planned for arrival on Friday but turned up a day early. It set me thinking, can there be any other building in the UK or the world that has more organs in it?
I am sure the Johannus and Viscount main factory warehouses will have a few more organs in one place and the Allen warehouse in the USA also but I think we are probably in line to be 4th on the list, unless of course you can tell me otherwise.
With minimal standing room and the van, normally parked inside, left out overnight, we currently have 74 Viscount organs (and pedal boards) shoehorned in as the photographs show. We are now absurdly well placed to meet the demand for home practice instruments. We also look forward to next week when we have 10 scheduled customer deliveries to arrange.
I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12. I own and run Viscount Organs with a close attention to the detail that musicians appreciate; and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital technology and keeping to the traditional and emotional elements of organ playing.
